We professionally train eSwatini young adults as music educators and performing musicians in partnership with international musicians all over the world.

​About a Bachelor of Music Education Program at Eswatini Institute of Music and Art

 

• Eswatini Institute of Music and Art is Eswatini’s first music college founded by the non-profit Africa Ntjilo Empowerment. In cooperation with professional musicians and music faculty in the US, South Korea, Europe, and South Africa, it currently provides a Bachelor's degree in Music Education (BME) towards young adults in Eswatini. Lectures and intensive workshops are facilitated online and onsite. 

• BME integrates Christian principles and biblical studies into its curriculum and aims to equip students with biblically based servant leadership and a life-long learning mindset. 

• BME curriculum includes college-level coursework in Music Core Studies, Christian Leadership, Liberal Arts and Science, Professional Teacher Studies, and Church Music. It also offers weekly one on one instrumental lessons on connecting students with international musicians online.  

• BME follows Accredited Credit Bank System and can take minimum 4 years or longer to earn full credits

Timeline 

• Submission deadline:  April 1st, 2023 

• Personal Interview/ Practical Audition: April 5th, 2023 

• Preliminary training: April 24th, 2023 (12 weeks)

• Admission Exam: TBD (At the end of July) 

• Start of the first semester: TBD (At the end of Aug)
